Travel Bursaries

National Heritage is committed to training and making it accessible to more staff and volunteers from museums and heritage sites. Bursaries of up to £150 for training in the field of museum practice, as it relates to the users of museums, are offered by National Heritage, primarily to staff and volunteers in smaller museums and heritage sites. Priority is also given to training in the field of volunteer management, although other disciplines may be considered. Bursary applications are assessed on a number of criteria:

  • Relevance of training session.
  • Size of organisation where applicant is based.
  • Role of applicant within organisation.
  • Impact training will have on applicant and their organisation.
